Instructions for using the "ComDeBug" Program from Windmill Software and the SecureMasterUSA "Control Panel" program

Step 1 -  Download the software from Windmill. www.windmill.co.uk/rs232.html 

Step 2 -  Install the program onto a laptop or PC, and connect the laptop or PC to the RS-485 Network using a SecureMasterUSA H485 Serial Port adaptor..

Step 3 - Install the SecureMasterUSA "Control Panel" on a second laptop using a SecureMasterUSA Serial Port adaptor.

Step 4 - Set the parameters of the "ComDeBug" program to your RS-485 Netowk parameters

Step 5 - Download the SecureMasterUSA "P" and "D" protocol Command Set of Instructions.  

Step 6 - Compare the Hex commands received by the "ComDeBug" program to the appropriate Command Set of Instructions.

Step 7 - If more than one RS-485 device is being tested, you can connect the SecureMasterUSA ET-8103 Interface.  It will take up to 8 different "Master" devices and systematically transfers the commands sent from each device to the RS-485 Network.  (See Diagram "Debugging the RS-485 Network")
